This free consult group returns for 2025, co-sponsored with the Geriatric Regional Assessment Team of Sound Generations.


We will meet five times a year from 12noon to 1:30 PM on selected Tuesdays:  Feb 18, April 15, June 17, Aug 19, and Oct 21. 


Bring cases and questions to present and issues to discuss!  This working consult (not just networking) group is open to behavioral health, social service, and care professionals working with older adults (aged 55+) but pre-registration (per consult) is required to ensure we have enough space for everyone.  Register at

Decision Making Capacity Assessment Training

Wednesdays October 1, 15, 29, and November 12, 8:30am – 4:30pm


This 4-day, 24-CEU program is aimed at master’s-level clinicians, social workers, counselors, nurses, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physician assistants, etc. Participants must attend all four days to receive a certificate of completion as well as guidance and support in their work on decisional capacity assessments.

As an approved mental health supervisor, Karin provides clinical supervision to candidates working toward full licensure in mental health counseling.

 

Candidates should have at least one year post-master's experience and an established client base and/or agency employment.  


  • In-person supervision meetings are provided in Karin's north Seattle home office, and/or at other locations as schedule permits.    
  • Group meetings subject to interest and schedules.


Licensure supervision hourly rates: 

In-person:  $120

Supervision for geriatric mental health specialty

As an experienced geriatric mental health specialist and approved supervisor, Karin provides clinical supervision to mental health professionals working toward the Washington state GMHS specialty credential.  


Requirements  (per  WAC 182-538D-0200) 

A "geriatric mental health specialist" is defined as a mental health professional who has the following education and experience:

(i) A minimum of one hundred actual hours (not quarter or semester hours) of specialized training devoted to the mental health problems and treatment of people age sixty and older; and

(ii) The equivalent of one year of full-time experience in the treatment of people age sixty and older, under the supervision of a geriatric mental health specialist.


GMHS supervision hourly rates: 

  In-person:  $100
 By phone:   $80
 Group:        $40
